Position Summary:

·The Data Engineer will assist with the definition and development of business intelligence, data analytics solution and automation initiatives on a wide range of client projects.

·This role will involve ad hoc data analysis, customer profiling, implementation of prototypes and other aspects of data management, designing predictive and analytical models. There will also be a focus on designing, building, and improving data platforms and systems, working closely with clients, and helping them through their own data and integration solutions. This is very much a hands-on role implementing the client solution.

Mandatory Skills:

·Technical Skills

oData architecture, modelling, integration, and transformation

oData Warehousing (Kimball Modelling, Data Vault)

oData Warehousing tools like Snowflake, DBT etc.

oSQL Expertise

oCloud Data Storage Platforms

oStrong ETL experience

oStrong skills with Java, Python or at least one similar language

oData visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering

• Build infrastructure-as-code solutions to deliver cloud-based data driven process and analytics.

• Design and implement cloud data architectures to effectively capture, integrate, organise, centralise, and maintain data.

• Identify where data science can create value or solve problems for your clients.

• Work with the business to uncover their problems, understand their data needs, implement data science solutions and data architecture to support those needs and create value.

• Help design, build, and run cloud-based data processing platforms, real time workload and streaming data flows in a large utility environment utilising automation.

• Implement solutions on a variety of big data platforms while following best practices in an agile environment.

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources such as, SQL and Azure ‘big data’ technologies.

• Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.

• Well versed with security best practices for handling and processing data.

• Support and enable the business in analysing, modelling, interpreting, and deploying advanced, scalable, and effective data and analytics solutions.

• Participate in technology selection and assessment across the existing and future ecosystems and thus define possible target designs and further experiments.

• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.

• Collaborate with squad members to design and deliver well engineered technical solutions for clients.

• Be a self-starter with the ability to work in team and when required independently, take initiative, and learn new skills.

Analytics

• Support and enable the business in analysing, modelling, interpreting, and deploying advanced, scalable, and effective data and analytics solutions.

• Participate in technology selection and assessment across the existing and future ecosystems and thus define possible target designs and further experiments.

• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.

Team

• Collaborate with squad members to design and deliver well engineered technical solutions for clients.

Salary Range: >$100,000
